Ever picked an olive? At speed? The World Championship in Olive Picking brings together teams from across the globe to compete (and connect) in the groves of beautiful Brač. Saltwater has long championed these joyful, quirky-yet-rooted events that celebrate tradition, community and the off-season magic of the islands. DNA Croatia are again submitting a team for the event. Slots are full – but you can follow the action online.
🌍 STAR Project Conference – Digital Nomads in Rural Tourism

Tanja Polegubić (TJP) will be presenting at the STAR project’s international conference — focused on strengthening rural tourism through digital nomads and remote work. This EU-backed initiative connects providers and policymakers working to unlock the potential of lesser-known destinations.

The Croatian National Tourist Board are again supporting rural tourism initiatives. This time, with an extra kick! DOUBLE SHOT blends creative retreat with local distillery charm. Join us for a long weekend in Central Istria, where you’ll learn lens craft by day and explore loza traditions by night. (Or vice versa).
LOZA: translated as grape vine, is a grape-based rakija spirit.
Workshops cover everything from photo composition to editing and storytelling, with a healthy dose of gourmet experiences, hiking, and, of course, tastings. This is Saltwater’s signature mix: connection, creativity, and community — distilled.
